Guava has raised $12.5 million in seed funding to make AI voice agents reliable on real customer calls, especially in regulated industries.
Acrew Capital led the round, joined by Flourish Ventures, WillowTree Ventures, Clocktower Ventures and returning investor Commerce Ventures. The money will fund model development and a sales team for enterprises and outsourcing providers.
Unlike platforms assembled from multiple vendors, Guava develops and runs its speech and language models together. Customers use code to control what the agents can do, while Guava handles the voice interaction.
Its first public model, Daytona, launched in September. Guava says it now supports more than a dozen enterprise customers and handles tens of thousands of calls daily.
The company builds on Gridspace research trained on more than 10 billion minutes of conversations in regulated call centers. Its founders include CEO Omri Dahan and Gridspace technical co-founders Anthony Scodary and Nico Benitez, alongside Mike Piechna.
Guava also plans on-premises and edge deployments, plus agents that can listen and speak at once. The bigger test is whether they finish the job consistently, not just sound natural.
