Docusign has acquired Suplari, an AI-powered procurement intelligence company, to connect what businesses agree to buy with what they actually spend. The deal expands Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform beyond contract workflows and into purchasing decisions.
Suplari brings AI tools that analyze spending, suppliers and contracts. Docusign plans to pair those insights with Iris, its agreement AI engine, to find savings, track supplier commitments and flag purchases that fall outside agreed terms.
The combined tools are intended to help procurement teams identify opportunities to consolidate purchases, prepare for renewals and follow up when suppliers miss obligations. Docusign also plans to expand integrations with SAP Ariba, Coupa and Oracle.
That matters because teams often reconcile contracts, finance records and spreadsheets by hand. Connecting those records could help procurement teams act before an agreement renews or spending drifts beyond negotiated terms.
Docusign did not disclose the purchase price. The bigger test is whether its platform can turn contract intelligence into savings companies can actually measure.
