LE PERSPECTIVE / THE STORY

Casap has raised $56 million in a Series B led by Base10 Partners, with Experian and Synchrony joining as strategic investors. The funding brings the AI banking startup’s total raised to $90 million as it pushes agents deeper into financial operations.

Its AI agents investigate payment disputes, gather evidence, apply each institution’s rules and escalate decisions that need human judgment. Casap started with fraud and disputes, where a wrong call can cost banks money and customers trust.

The Stakes Are Higher Than Speed
Automating a dispute isn't the same as answering a customer question. An agent making a financial decision needs an audit trail, clear limits and a handoff to humans when judgment is required. That's the trust Casap is selling.

The company says it works with more than 100 banks, credit unions, fintechs and processors. It reports automating 73% of dispute cases and cutting resolution times from as long as 90 days to eight, while retaining human oversight.

Casap says revenue has grown tenfold since its $25 million Series A just over a year ago. Existing backers Emergence Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners also joined the round.

The new capital will support expansion into collections, claims and other complex financial operations. The real test will be whether agents can deliver consistent outcomes as the financial consequences of their decisions grow.
